Patrick Sullivan

Patrick served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytyc Corporation during its emergence as the leading company focused on women’s health issues.

During his tenure Cytyc Corporation introduced the ThinPrep Pap Test, which revolutionized screening for cervical cancer globally, and led the growth of the company to revenues in excess of $600MM through a series of technology acquisitions, which culminated in the acquisition of Cytyc Corporation by Hologic, Inc. in 2007 for $6.2B.

Prior to joining Cytyc, Mr. Sullivan was employed in several senior marketing positions for five years by Abbott Laboratories—a diversified healthcare company. He was also a consultant with McKinsey & Company—an international management consulting firm. Mr. Sullivan served as a member of the board of directors of Gen-Probe Incorporated and is currently a director of Perkin-Elmer Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
